Biographical and Historical Note
This collection includes materials from World War I. World War I took place from 1914-1918, with the battles mainly occurring in Europe and the Middle East. Ultimately the Allied Powers (Great Britain, France, Russia, Belgium, Italy, Japan, the United States, and others) defeated the Central Powers (Germany, Austria-Hungary, Turkey, and Bulgaria).
