Finding Aid & Inventory

Lynn Sutton served as the director, and later the dean, of Wake Forest University's Z. Smith Reynold's Library from 2004 to 2015. This collection spans from 1995-2017 and includes administrative materials pertaining to Sutton's work.

Biographical and Historical Note

Lynn Sorenson Sutton became director of WFU's Z. Smith Reynolds Library in 2004. In 2008, when ZSR's librarians voted to become faculty, Sutton became Dean. She remained dean until July 1, 2015, when Timothy D. Pryatt was hired for the role. In 2011, the Library won the Association of College and Research Libraries' "Excellence in Academic Libraries Award." The award recognizes the accomplishments of a library staff every year, selecting one outstanding community college, college, and university library annually.

From July 2014 to July 2017, Sutton served as a Vice Provost of the University before retiring.

Collection Overview

This collection contains annual reports, budgetary materials, award materials, University Senate notes, and articles pertaining to the library. The collection also contains grant materials for A.R. Ammons' 2010 symposium, "Single Threads Unbraided."
