Biographical and Historical Note

Hebron Baptist Church was admitted to the Bethel (SC) Baptist Association as a newly constituted church in 1808. Isaac West and Richard Rocket were the delegates. The church reported 21 members. The church was discontinued as a mission by the association in 1850 and finally dissolved in 1853. The Hebron Church was revived and reconstituted on the site of old Hebron, October 5, 1883, largely through the efforts of the Reverend John F. Morris. The church was admitted to the South Fork Baptist Association the same year and reported to the association until 1916. The church was not listed the next year.
