- Dr. James (Jim) Barefield, from Jacksonville, Florida, discusses his role in helping to establish the first few study abroad programs for Wake Forest. He includes his experiences teaching in London, England, and Venice, Italy. Barefield had been in Winston-Salem since 1963. Prior to teaching abroad, Barefield spent time in London as a Fulbright Scholar; also talks about experiences building relationships with students while abroad.
