Chafin preaches on the sinfulness of man, which he says is often treated as a legal matter and not a thing in which humans have really involved themselves. Those who are unimpressed with the good news of God's atonement of man have never believed in the bad news of man. He tells the story of Nicodemus speaking with Jesus. Romans 3:10-12, 23 and John 2:23-25; 3:1-3 are referenced.
