description
Speech given by woman regarding learning theories, especially learning through experience. Learning is defined as concern for change in knowledge, habits, attitudes, etc. It is an integrated process between and individual and their environment, meant to develop character, knowledge, and beliefs in order to deal with their environment, but it is an imperfect process. Discusses association, Law of Frequency and Liveliness, games, and memorization as tools for learning. This recording is very grainy and difficult to hear.
This project was supported by a Recordings at Risk grant from the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR). The grant program is made possible by funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
