A man directs a runoff for the second vice president. The Resolutions Committee gives its report, including borrowed money by colleges for dormitories, academic buildings, and Baptist missions on campus, marking a challenge of finding real estate near campuses and institutes a new policy of leasing. These budgetary measures are voted on and approved. A resolution is voted to allow government funds for services rendered to be used. Plan is proposed that special mission offerings can be designated outside the cooperative program, such as the New Life mission in Japan, and approved. The National Jubilee commemoration in 1964 is approved. Free radio broadcasts and increased government control is discussed. Resolution on abolishment of Capital Punishment is spoken to and voted upon, in which J. Edgar Hoover is quoted and the Christian LIfe committee advocates for abolition in favor of extending possibility of salvation for convict. The motion to accept this change is voted upon and approved.
