- description
- Continuation of discussion between several people about dancing, whether it is appropriate, and how it influences society, mostly a spiritual deterrent. Revelation 2:29 and the 1937 position of the convention are referenced. In this forum, whether Wake Forest College and other Baptist schools will be distinctive Baptist colleges is addressed. Results of division and money redirected from education are mentioned. The issue is called to a vote, substitute motion is denied, and the vote is passed in a lively vocal group. Motion to further study collegiate social practices is approved. Motion about college trustee selection and training is approved.
- This project was supported by a Recordings at Risk grant from the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR). The grant program is made possible by funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
