- description
- Sermon given by an African American Pastor of large congregation in Brooklyn, NY regarding the failure in human relationships with each other in the American society, imposing guilt and shame. "The Church has a deep stake in this manner" and must deal with its inadequacy. Referencing Matthew 17, he relates the story of the father bringing a stricken sont to Jesus because disciples could not help him. The chief problem here is that the name of Jesus Christ is disgraced. He speaks of segregation in churches and the need of Churches to work together, although discernably different. Commitment to Christ and the Gospel as common origin will make the difference, all sheep in His pasture and each soul equally valuable.
