description
A man discusses the need for faculty members at local colleges. This need is fueled by a need for graduate and doctoral degrees for faculty members at Christian colleges, as encouraged by the Baptist Convention. Motions regarding parliamentary procedure and voting procedures are debated at length. The convention's authority over Baptist churches and organizations, as a recommending body rather than a ruling one, is then debated at length by Convention officers and attendees.
This project was supported by a Recordings at Risk grant from the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR). The grant program is made possible by funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
