description
Sermon given by a man regarding seminary schools and the ministry. Gives a basic definition of a seminary as a place of preparation for those who seek to pursue a career in divinity. Speaks of France's King Louis XVI and how he inherited a revolution, comparing that to the experience of the church and seminary currently. Remarks that it is remarkable to be willing to die for something, but martyrdom must come from the right place and Christian love must be present. Speaker states that both holiness and brains are necessary to carry out the word of God and calls for a bilateral approach to theological studies.
This project was supported by a Recordings at Risk grant from the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR). The grant program is made possible by funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
