- description
- Sermon given by a man regarding preaching and its importance to the Christian minister. Describes what happens in a congregation as a living experience. One minister who produced a greater social cultural and economic effect was John Wesley, by preaching the gospel, affecting change throughout a nation. Central function of a Christian minister is his preaching. Describes the Bible as an anthology of sermons in some form. Preaching is attempting the impossible, attempting to put into words the message of god. A sermon is not truly a speech, but rather the embodiment of god’s message to earth.
