Biographical and Historical Note
Museum of Man was a former anthropological museum at 114 Reynolda Village in Winston-Salem, N.C. Established May 4, 1975, the Museum gained the majority of its materials from WFU's Anthropology department, which had displayed the artifacts since 1956, and was administrated with the help of WFU's Sociology department. It was in operation at least until 1985, according to The Directory of Museums and Living Displays by Kenneth Hudson and Ann Nicholls. The Museum served as a site of classroom and lab instruction as well as a public research domain. Its materials are largely rehoused in the current WFU Museum of Anthropology.
