At the time of this interview, Dr. Briggs was residing in Mobile, Alabama. In this interview, he provides a unique and candid account of what he experienced and witnessed as an emergency room doctor serving on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. From March until June 30th, Dr. Briggs worked as an ER doctor at Wake Forest Baptist Health, making him a key source for detailing the issues that Forsyth County experienced at the onset of the pandemic. He notes that one of the major issues in Forsyth County at the start of the virus was the lack of testing.
