The field of international education strives to send students abroad on programs in safe and secure locations, allowing students to make progress towards their college degree while immersing themselves into a new culture. While institution evaluate the risk assessments for their overseas programs, not all risk can be predicted. Over the years, international educators have navigated through various threats to student safety, involving a myriad of countries throughout the world.
