description: In honor of National Poetry Month, Wake Forest University Press held its second annual "Wake Up! to Poetry" competition in April 2014. The contest's culmination and celebration at an off-campus venue during that month brought together poetry lovers from campus and from the larger community for an early evening celebration. This promises to be an annual cross-campus collaborative event in terms of student/faculty/staff partnerships that also includes the larger poetic community in the area.
