- Black and white postcard shows what appears to be a white couple sitting together in a hammock in a wooded area. The woman has her arm around the man. She is wearing a long dress and a shawl. The man is wearing a black suit and a white collared shirt. Under the image is bars of music notes with lyrics that read, "Would you care- if you had found me- held- in someone else's arms?" The backside of the postcard has faint handwritten cursive that reads, "Hello H. K. Hughes- Maybe you are at home today. Maybe you are[n't]. Maybe you love [H/V?]M.J. Maybe you don't. Maybe you love A.B.T. Maybe you don't." It's addressed to H. K. Hughes, Smith N.C., from "P.F.D." A postage stamp is dated May 19, 1909.
