Description
Flora Ann Bynum (1924-2006) was a noted horticulturist, author, and historic landscape expert. The garden at her home on Main Street in Salem, the 1844 John Siewers House, was an unofficial stop on the Old Salem tour for many years. For over 30 years she served on the museum's landscape restoration committee and mined the Moravian Archives to find out exactly what types of plants the Moravians grew.
