Black and white photograph shows Dr. Owen Fennell Herring (right), religion professor emeritus, wearing eyeglasses, a suit and tie, and a Medallion of Merit, with wife Ethel Herring, who wears a necklace and a dress. Dr. Herring received the awards at Founders' Day convocation in 1981. The back of the photograph reads "Ethel and Owen Herring" and "McNabb Studio, 4015 Brownsboro Road, Winston-Salem." The image is also shown in Wake Forest Magazine (May 1981), page 3.
