Marion McLeskey poses for this 1996 photograph during a celebration for North Carolina Baptist Hospital’s volunteers. The volunteer program at the hospital was formalized in 1971 but McLeskey found herself with 200 other volunteers at the Hawthorne Inn Conference Center in April 1996. After 18 years of service, McLeskey died in 2001 at the age of 90. She had given over 12,000 hours of service to the hospital.
