Deborah Best received her bachelor's and master's degrees in psychology from Wake Forest and earned a doctorate in developmental psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was Wake Forest's first female dean of the College from 2004-2008, chair of Wake Forest's psychology department from 1994 to 2002 and William L. Poteat Professor of Psychology. In this interview, Deborah (Debbie) discusses the transition from President James Scales to President Tom Hearn and the difference in administration under both.
