Description
Dr. Richard K. Young (far left) is filmed by NBC personnel for the 30-minute show, From the Most High Cometh Healing in 1961. Dr. Young came to North Carolina Baptist Hospital in 1946 as a chaplain. He began envisioning a healing team concept and founded the Pastoral Care Program in 1947. Before his retirement in 1970 and his death in 1974, more than 1,700 people representing 36 denominations had been trained through the program.
