| dc.description | In May 2002, Brenner Children’s Hospital celebrated its grand opening of a six-story addition inside of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. One of the features is the interactive video wall on the seventh floor. The wall was made by a company in Tower Lakes, Illinois called LightSwitch. The company wanted to design the wall to be educational and interactive for children as well as serve as a fun escape from the seriousness of a hospital environment. Special lighting, music and videos are used to enhance the presentations and provide a magical look when projected onto the wall. Children are able to activate the infrared sensors, which detect their presence and will trigger a video segment. Shown here are two unidentified people looking at the wall. | en_US |
