Interview conducted as part of HST372 Queer Public Histories (Professor Tivia Collins). This audio captures an interview with Nyles Claire Suer, who identifies as nonbinary and queer. Nyles discusses their journey of self-discovery, including coming out to their family and transitioning from a library career to software development and writing a queer romance novel. They reflect on their supportive family background, the significance of community, and their involvement with LGBTQ organizations in Winston-Salem, particularly North Star, the local LGBTQ community center.
