Description
Dedication of the C. G. O'Kelly Library on the campus of Winston-Salem State College, 1967. On the wall is a portrait of Cadd Grant O'Kelly, born in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 1865. O'Kelly completed the master of arts and divinity degrees at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania. In 1895, he joined the faculty of Slater Industrial Academy and State Normal School, where he taught music and art and also served as chaplain. From 1904 to 1910, O'Kelly was president of Slater.
