Description

Report by the Council on Christian Life and Public Affairs, Ed Brandon addresses current social issues including youth facing military service, strengthening the family unit, leisure replacing a work oriented society, medicaid program, and public education shift to desegregation. A motion discouraging churches from starting private schools to circumvent the laws of the land is passed. A resolution to provide financial assistance to pastors that lose their pastorate is replaced by one addressing the broken relationship between pastor and church and the flawed process in choosing a pastor, suggesting financial assistanace if dismissed; the motion is passed. Mars Grant, editor of the Biblical Recorder, introduces Pastor Woodrow Hill who speaks to need of information dispersion.
