Mr. Edward Albert (Heimberger), well-known as "Oliver Wendell Douglas" from the television show Green Acres, is shown here at the fiftieth anniversary celebration of the Bowman Gray School of Medicine. Dr. Felda Hightower (far right), was one of the original faculty members of the school when it opened in 1941. He is shown here letting Mr. Albert borrow his personal bow tie for the special event since Mr. Albert had forgotten his tie. (L-R) Dr. Richard Janeway, former Dean of the Medical School; Elizabeth Hightower, wife of Dr. Felda Hightower; Mr. Edward Albert and Dr. Felda Hightower.
