Description

Oral history interview with Wake Forest University alumni Keenon Mann, who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2004, majoring in English and Sociology. He also received his Masters in Education from the University of Delaware in 2006. Originally from rural Delaware, Mann discusses his background, experience at Wake, and challenges he faced as a first-generation college student and as a Black man at a Predominantly White Institution. He was heavily involved in Wake Forest University's Gospel Choir, the Black Student Alliance, and Student Government. Continuing his work from his time as an undergraduate, Mann continues his mission of fostering belonging for the Black Wake Forest community in his role as the president of The Association of Wake Forest University Black Alumni (AWFUBA).
