Description

Madge Minor came to North Carolina Baptist Hospital as a nursing school student in 1928. Upon graduating in 1931, she began working at the hospital as a general duty nurse. When the hospital opened its first recovery room on Fifth South, Minor was offered a position as a staff nurse. After a month in the recovery room, she found that she loved working with the patients and decided to stay. Within a year, Minor became the head nurse of this department and stayed there until her retirement in 1975.
