Description
Dr. Richard T. Myers smiles in his formal attire at this unknown commencement ceremony. He came to Winston-Salem as a fellow in gynecology at North Carolina Baptist Hospital in 1945. He joined Bowman Gray School of Medicine as Instructor in Surgery in 1950. As departmental chair for Surgery, Dr. Myers supported the newly-created section of Emergency Medicine in 1968.
