Description
Dr. Lester Earl Watts enrolled for pre-medical classes at Wake Forest College in 1954. After taking some anatomy and biology classes, he really became interested in medicine as a career. In 1964 he began a fellowship in cardiology and then in 1966 joined the Bowman Gray School of Medicine under Cardiology Chairman, Dr. Ernest Yount. He retired in 2003 as Associate Professor Emeritus in Internal Medicine/Cardiology but is still involved at the Medical Center.
