This photograph is inscribed, "This picture pin is of my great grandmother Lash [sic] who married Conrad. She was my Father's grandmother on his mother's side and lived in Bethania. P.B. Gray [Pauline Bahnson Gray]" Gertrude Elisabeth Loesch married Jacob Conrad in Bethania. She died in Salem in 1858 at the age of 66.
