| dc.description.abstract | E.D. Poe was a Baptist pastor in North Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky, and Alabama. He was an alumnus of Wake Forest College (Class of 1909). He also attended the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky.His papers consist of biographical data; his diary, 1905-15; his professional/subject files; sermons and sermon notes; some correspondence; South Carolina deeds and land grants (originals and copies) for the Sumter, Barklay, Scott, Drakeford, Burnsides, and McAdams families, 1771-1829; and a manuscript copy of his book, To Them That Perish.E.D.
