Description
Shown here are the first fifteen students of North Carolina Baptist Hospital?s School of Nursing in 1923. Ten of these fifteen graduated in May 1926. Of those ten, three(not identified in this photograph) were Miss Bryte Harrill, Miss Mildred Wall and Mrs. Susie Bass. Each graduate was presented with a class pin and $25. Mrs. J.J. Roddick, a member of NCBH?s Board of Trustees, also gave each graduate her commencement invitation while Judge A. Wayland Cooke, Secretary of the Hospital Board from Greensboro, NC was speaker for the occasion.
