Description
Dr. June G. May received her doctorate in education with a major in school administration from the University of Houston in 1962. Dr. May began her service with the Medical Center in 1984 in the Office of Student Services. Shortly after being hired, she was promoted to registrar/coordinator. In this position, May provided a myriad of services, but none more important than mentoring many of the students attending Wake Forest University School of Medicine. She officially retired in 1998 but accepted the position as United Way Arts Council coordinator in 1999. While still in this position, she died on Dec. 16, 2006.
