Committee on Place and Preacher Report, Publicity Committee Report, Biblical Recorder Report
Abstract
Description
Ater six and a half minutes of choral music, reports from committees on Memorials, on Place and Preacher for 1963 convention which results in a debate over whether to meet in Charlotte or Wilmington (which won). Editor Marse Grant of the Biblical Recorder acknowledges the press for their news coverage from the Publicity committee. Marse remarks on a new development that the NC Department of Revenue had begun to tax the sales of the Biblical Recorder at 3% with the additional taxing of the $43,500 given from the convention for the costs of mailing it out. The Biblical Recorded will pay taxes amounting to $5200 a year, but the latter will be paid under protest pending a review by the state attorney general.
