Description
Dr. Frank M. Torti, shown here in this undated photograph, joined the faculty at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in 1993 as Director of the Comprehensive Cancer Center and Chair of the Department of Cancer Biology. In April 2008, Dr. Torti was appointed to a new position where he is now serving as second-in-command of the Food and Drug Administration. He is responsible for coordinating medical research and helping to recruit new scientists to the FDA.
