dc.descriptionShown here are staff members of the 1982-1983 Section of Hematology/Oncology at Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University. This section was a division within the Internal Medicine Department that was developed in 1958. Dr. Charles Spurr (far left, first row) was founding director of the Cancer Center. Some other physicians are Dr. Robert L. Capizzi, (middle with glasses, first row) that trained under Dr. Spurr and became the director of the department in 1982 and Dr. M. Robert Cooper (far right, first row), Board of Directors, N.C. Division of the American Cancer Society and education committee professor.en_US
