Wet Motorcycle Couple
Abstract
Description
Caption provided reads: "Wet Motorcycle Couple. The location was the administrative entrance to the Moses Cone Manor House at the Parkway junction with US22. The time of year was summer 2004 after a drenching rainstorm. The couple was from Hickory. 'The weather was great when we left,' but nature took its own course. The riders had jackets but nothing to protect their legs. 'We won't do that again,' i.e., they went out and bought the proper riding gear to save them in the next rainstorm. The couple (Keith Perkins and Connie Sigmon) had only recently become engaged. I was photographing examples of the different ways that visitors enjoyed the Parkway. At the time, I owned my own Harley 'Lowrider' and was attracted to them for more than just one reason." Caption sourced from metadata embedded by Medford in 2024.
