Description
Dr. Gerald N. Hewitt first came to the North Carolina Baptist Hospital business office in 1956 while still a student at Wake Forest University. Working as a night auditor and assistant to the internal auditor, Hewitt became a pastor and later returned to NCBH as the Business Manager in April 1965. In 1971, he was appointed to the newly created position of Controller. Hewitt retired in 1994 as vice president for Patient Financial Services after 33 years of service.
