Address by John Fleming, Shaw University staff and Director of Education for the General Baptist Convention of North Carolina, in a conference focused on urbanism, on meeting the spiritual challenges of urban living, penetrated by self-interest. Individualism has splintered the local church community as the kingdom of God challenges to serve other members. The black ghetto is source of many societal problems and needs a proactive church to create a positive engagement in urban community.
