This ongoing conflict has prompted a spike of critical interest in the communication between extremists and the outsiders they perceive as enemies, generating a fuller understanding of extremist ideology critical to counter-terrorism efforts.  While this intergroup communication has remained a focus among scholars, the &amp;lt;italic&amp;gt;intragroup&amp;lt;/italic&amp;gt; communication within these radical groups is also of significant importance and has remained widely unexamined.</dim:field>
