The current rules in place by the NCAA restrict any student-athlete from receiving money for his or her performance in their sport. These rules take advantage of student athletes because they are required to fulfill high labor demands, while authorities and surrounding businesses are able to profit from their performance without paying them anything. As college sports in America continue to grow and become more lucrative each year, this problem becomes more evident.
