Herein, cell and growth factor loaded keratin hydrogels and Tissue Engineered Muscle Repair (TEMR) constructs consisting of cell seeded, cyclic stretched bladder acellular matrix (BAM), were investigated in VML injuries in which the overriding hypothesis was that these technologies would improve functional recovery and tissue morphology in otherwise irrecoverable injuries.</dim:field>
