The Edwin G. Wilson Lecture Collection primarily includes a body of recorded classroom instruction by Edwin Graves Wilson (1923–2024), Professor of English and Provost Emeritus at Wake Forest University. Wilson, affectionately known as “Mr. Wake Forest,” spent more than five decades teaching, mentoring students, and shaping the intellectual and cultural life of the university.

The collection primarily consists of audiocassette recordings created during his classes, recorded live by Emily Brewer as a sophomore English major, who sat in the front row of class. These recordings capture Wilson’s lectures on writers such as William Wordsworth, Lord Byron, William Blake, and W.B. Yeats.
