Description
An unidentified person works on the construction of a heated walkway in front of Watlington Hall in the spring of 1980. The walkway was installed before the granite was laid. This type of underground radiant heat makes shoveling or snow blowing during inclement weather a thing of the past not to mention the benefit of safety to the employees and public. Watlington Hall was completed at the cost of $10.6 million dollars in 1980 and houses the academic offices of nine departments and 13 medical and surgical sections.
