Description

Senior students at Bowman Gray School of Medicine in 1948 are learning gross anatomy under the direction of Dr. Wilbur C. Thomas (male with his hands on the tray standing on the right side). Dr. Thomas was Assistant Professor of Pathology in charge of Legal Medicine and Autopsy Pathology. Gross Anatomy, a required course, is an orderly dissection of the human body parts. On completion of each body part a practical and written examination is given.
