Abstract

Description

Construction of the Hall House in Salem began in 1827 with alterations made in 1843. The two-story, five-bay frame house is a fine example of a combination shop and residence. Its two entry doors have a shared stoop. From 1841 James Hall used the house as a bakery, bake shop, and residence. The house was restored in 1976 to its 1843 configuration.
