They are possibly attending the Georgetown Invitational Tournament. Left to right, they are Dick Leader, Laura Abernathy, Duke Wilson, Larry Penley, and Coach Merwyn A. Hayes, professor and director of debate. The back of the photograph reads "Debate team [at] Georgetown University, 1968." The image is also shown in Wake Forest Magazine (January 1968), page 20.
