- description
- From a series. Sermon given by a man about the Book of Job and those who attempt to comfort Job during his time of need. Book of Job is described as the most unusual book in the Bible, in which none of the characters are Jewish. Job and the author of the book are characterized as liberal. Job has not sinned in proportion to his suffering, causing him to doubt his faith in God and question his teachings. Yet Job listens and understands why he deserves such punishment. A theologian never directly says what they mean, so Eliphaz merely implies that Job sinned, but will never outright say that.
